The Mickey Chohany campaign has definitely hit the ground running. I have been repeatedly impressed by their hard work over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to get to know them. This past weekend I spent some time doing a door to door event with them. I decided to profile them in this week's blog in recognition of their hard work and dedication to electing a solid conservative to the Virginia Senate, someone who is a small business owner, family man, and community leader who is dedicated to furthering the agenda of hugely popular GOP Governor Bob McDonnell. Mickey Chohany, a business owner, former City Councilman, community leader, and father of two daughters, is the Republican nominee for the First Virginia Senatorial District.  Now Mickey wants to bring his experiences in business, local government, and civic affairs to the Senate of Virginia.  Once elected, Mickey will work to build on the stature of Virginia’s world class public colleges and universities, reign in government spending, implement Governor McDonnell’s jobs creation plan, and improve transportation to ease the traffic congestion that plagues this region.  In his own words, “I am particularly excited to have the opportunity to work with the College Republicans, not only because of the enthusiasm and the ideas they bring to the table, but because the political decisions made in the next few years will impact their future, and it is important that they are part of the process.”
