University of Mary Washington CR's to host Karl Rove
September 21, 2011 - 3:22pm / ross.hemmingerUniversity of Mary Washington College Republican's have had a busy semester so far. A full roster of meetings have been very well attended, and they've been working hard to elect Bryce Reeves to the Virginia State Senate. Mr. Reeves, running against a 28-year incumbent, has a great campaign set up and has been running for nearly two years now. He has a ton of energy running through his campaign, much of it supplied by UMW CR's, who do weekly phone banking and door to door.
This past week, the CR's got a bit more good news. Karl Rove, famed political strategist and a former Deputy Chief of Staff for President George W. Bush, is coming to Fredericksburg on September 28th, and will be doing a meet and greet for College Republicans during his trip. Everyone is thrilled to be able to meet and mingle a former College Republican National Committee Executive Director and National Chairman. Going into the last leg of campaign season, Rove will be able to fire up the troops in preperation for the good work of College Republicans here in Virginia to take back the State Senate!
In Liberty,
Ross
