Ballot Issues 2 and 3

October 25, 2011 - 8:04pm / leanna.cannafax

The Northern Kentucky University College Republicans traveled to Terrace Park, Ohio to the Hamilton County Victory Center to meet GOP Presidential contender Mitt Romney this morning, but that was not the only reason they came.  Students showed up an hour and a half early to make calls promoting Issues 2 and 3 in Ohio.

Says NKU CR Chair Hanna Faulkner, "Issues 2 and 3 are essential to get the Ohio budget under control.  If we don't get them passed, Ohio will fall apart.  I really think so... I'm so behind Issue 2 it's not even funny."  Hanna hopes to attend law school someday and become a legal researcher in a Congressional office.

The NKU CR's were joined by Xavier University and the Ohio College Republicans.

Political science major Beth Hamad said about meeting Mr. Romney, "It was a great time meeting a presidential candidate; we need a Republican in the White House and I think Romney can win so we can send Barack Obama packing in 2012."

Leslie Reynolds is a sophomore secondary social studies education major who laughed as she told us she missed both a test and class to volunteer.  She closed out her evening volunteering at the Northern Kentucky Victory Center reminding voters about Kentucky's important statewide elections November 8th.

I pledge to make this a Red November
